Since 1991 Seattle has recognized the efforts of agencies and individuals who’s outstanding work in ending community hunger through an annual awards ceremony in three categories. The award categories are; Outstanding Agency or Staff Member, Community Volunteer, and Community Leader. Award recipients for each category are selected by a committee from their respective coalitions within the Seattle emergency food system. The two aspects of these awards are the Meals Partnership Coalition and the Seattle Food Committee (food banks).
