MPC Food Safety Training: Register here. Presented by Seattle / King County Public Health. This training will cover topics such as how to properly label food, food borne Illness updates, transporting time/temperature control foods, and the responsibilities of a Certified Food Protection Manager.

De-Escalation Training for Meal Providers: September 6 from 9am to 12pm, click here to register. The focus of this training will be identifying triggers and early warning signs of escalation, recognizing our own response to escalated behavior and how to maintain personal self-control to respond effectively, and reviewing strategies for effective de-escalation and then practice applying these principles through role plays. A total of 20 spots available for MPC members.

CFPM Exam Update: MPC has added one additional Certified Food Protection Manager (CFPM) exam date on Thursday, September 18 at 9am. Click here to register.

Eat Local First Network Invitation: Learn more here and click this link to register for the Network meetings. Eat Local First Network is a place to connect and collaborate to guide communities toward local food across Washington State. People across the food system are encouraged to participate, including and especially community meal programs. Network meetings will take place on the first Thursday of each month at 10:00 AM.
